Good writer? Funny? Opinionated? Want to get published on the net? We have something in mind we think you might like.
We're looking for short funny bits to be displayed at the top of our blog pages. Any kind of funny ... snide, snarky, political, satirical, maybe even a little nasty ... but always compelling. We have the biggest soapbox ever created and we want writers who have something to say. (Artists too, with good sharp pointed graphics.)
Sure, you could post your stuff to a website's MyKaroo page today as a regular comment, if you want to.
But if you think you have something especially good, send it to us. If we use it, your funny and snappy bits will sit at the top of your chosen site's MyKaroo page, above the user comments, with a byline. The site's MyKaroo page appears whenever any MyKaroo user goes to that site, so your stuff will be displayed right next to the website it references. And there's a MyKaroo page for every website in the world. There are over a hundred million websites. Find one, write about it, send it in.
Here's how it works. 1) Pick a website. 2) Write something funny about it. 3) Copy it into the form below and send it to us.
If we use it we'll pay you $5. (You didn't think we wanted you to work for free, did you?) We prefer to pay using Paypal. If you're set up there, please mention that in the Comments section of your submission. If not, it just takes a few minutes to set this up.
Topics we're looking for ... funny stuff about the internet and/or anything you can find on it. Sorry to be so limiting :)
Size should be 100-300 words. Images should be resizable to a similar size. If you're submitting an image, include a link to it in the Submission section.
Want to do something longer? "Continued on next blog..." might be one way to go. If your stuff's good enough, we're game for anything. Pick any website you'd like to comment on. Make jokes, write a short essay, do a drawing, review the contents, anything you like.
Like any other MyKaroo comment your submission is covered by the terms of the MyKaroo license agreement. Terms are pretty much what you'd expect, including that you have the right to let us use it, and you still retain your ownership. See the license agreement for full details.
Your handle can be an email link so people who read your post can click on it and send you a private email. The message is relayed through MyKaroo and the sender can't see your email address, so your privacy is preserved.
We will also post the best stuff we get on mykaroostuff.blogspot.com so that even more people will know about your contributions. Take a look there to see some examples of what other people have done.
