Green Building Exchange and MyKaroo Launch New Internet Channel
For The Green Building IndustryREDWOOD CITY, Calif. and ALBANY, Calif. (March 26, 2007) - Green Building Exchange, the first-ever building exchange dedicated to sustainable "green" building, has formed an alliance with MyKaroo to launch an Internet Channel dedicated to the green building industry.
What is MyKaroo
MyKaroo provides a service where users can post and read messages related to every website they visit on the Internet, while they are looking at that website. MyKaroo launches a separate window that allows users to comment about any website while that website is being viewed in the browser. These comments can be seen by any other MyKaroo user who visits that website. The posted MyKaroo comments are independent, and not managed by the underlying website. "MyKaroo creates a social network that is as big as the Internet itself," commented MyKaroo CEO Barry Smiler. "Users can post reviews about products, comment about the business activities of the main website, or anything they want to. MyKaroo is the ultimate free speech network," added Mr. Smiler.
MyKaroo and its new Green Building Channel can be used with Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. These two browsers cover over 98% of all current web usage. MyKaroo can be used on virtually any operating system, including Linux, Solaris, Windows, and Macintosh. To install the service, go to MyKaroo.com and install the plugin extension for your browser.
What is the Green Building Exchange
Mike Schaeffer, President of Green Building Exchange discussed the Green Building Channel: "The Green Building Channel on MyKaroo is a Channel that you select in MyKaroo that allows you to participate in the community of people interested in green building as you surf the web. You can post and read comments about any website from a green building perspective using this channel. We are very excited about this because it is the first time that the green building community has been brought together in an online community that goes anywhere the user goes. We hope that user feedback will encourage both green and non-green vendors to develop better sustainable green building products."
